Starting his career in 1984, Lasantha has held several senior management positions and directorships in the logistics sector. During an illustrious career spanning 40 years, he was the Managing Director for ATE Lanka and Director, South East Asian Region for ATE Group; Chief Operating Officer for Hellmann Logistics; and Head of Sales at Expo Lanka Freight (EFL).
His enterprising nature has made him a well recognised and respected figure, both locally and internationally. He has also received many accolades in recognition of the services rendered to the Logistics industry. These include the Bronze Award for the Entrepreneur Category – Service Sector presented by the Export Development Board, and under his leadership, ATE Lanka won the Top Forwarder Award from Sri Lankan Airlines in the year 2000.
